Saddleback Church - Sermon on the Mount
This was a fun volunteer project for my church, Saddleback Church. Scripture-led motion design bumpers created for a four-week NextGen teaching series, combining typography, particle systems, and light physics to reinforce each message through visual storytelling.

NextGen Sermon on the Mount
Student Ministry Series — Motion Design Video Bumpers (Saddleback Church Volunteer Work)
Project Overview
Motion design video bumpers created for the NextGen ministry’s Sermon on the Mount series and shared on Saddleback Students Youtube channel. These bumpers were used for each weekly video rollout over four weeks.
I collaborated with the NextGen Creative Content Director, who provided the graphic design files, project overview, themes, overall guidance, and scripture for the series.
Creative Execution
Each animation’s creative direction was intentionally driven by the message and tone of the weekly scripture—allowing the visuals to serve the teaching rather than distract from it.

Typography, animation, and visual pacing
Particle systems and light physics simulations
Scripture-led visual storytelling
The bumpers were created in After Effects, utilizing particle systems and Newton for subtle physics-based motion to add depth and atmosphere without overpowering the message.
This project was especially meaningful to me as it allowed creative storytelling to support ministry and faith-based teaching.
The four bumpers were combined into the final bumper shared above. Here are the four separate videos.
