Motion Design
1.5 Weeks

Clarity is a passion project that I produced alone with a goal to learn new techniques and share information with others.
Objective:
The objective was to create a motion design that helps viewers understand a goal-setting solution. I'm passionate about sharing creative knowledge with my creative community.
The Challenge?
The challenge was to create a visually appealing design solution that clearly and concisely communicates setting a S.M.A.R.T. goal.
The solution:
The solution was to construct a design using one of the simplest shapes—the circle. There needed to be a soft tension between simplicity and complexity, chaos and structure, a tension that was highlighted through movement and form.
Workflow Steps:
Script Writing — Developed a brief script to support the narrative and guide the flow of the project.
Creative Ideation — Designed style boards, visual concepts, and a cohesive color palette to establish the project’s visual direction. The programs used: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
Storyboarding — Created detailed storyboards to visualize each scene and ensure a smooth narrative flow. (Scene one storyboard sketch shown below) The program used: Procreate
Audio Production — Selected background music and sound effects to enhance the mood and support the animation’s emotional tone. The programs used: Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects
Motion Design Production — Utilized JavaScript expressions within After Effects to drive animations, focusing on creating smooth, flowing motion and seamless scene transitions. The program used: Adobe After Effects
